David Houtz joined the Rotary Club of Chichester in 2010 with a desire to build relationships within the local community. With his background in accounting, he served as club treasurer for three years. During that time, he continued to gain the trust and respect of his fellow Rotarians which allowed him to serve as club president from 2015 to 2017.
David served as treasurer of Rotary District 7450 Gundaker Foundation for four years. The meetings allowed him to get to know his fellow Rotarians across the district and the clubs they represented. During his time as club president, he also attended District 7450 programs and events. He then served the district as Assistant Governor, 2018 to 2020.
Professionally, David began his career as an accountant and tax preparer in 2002 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2008. He is a sole proprietor, specializing in tax preparation and business bookkeeping, in Chichester, PA. In addition to his service to Rotary, David has served on the boards of the Upper Chichester Library, the Chichester Business Association, and Sonrise Christian Day School.
David is a Veteran of Foreign Wars, serving in the US Army Reserve in Baghdad, Iraq from 2004 to 2005. David and his wife, Krysta, are a Rotary couple. Krysta is a member of the Philadelphia Happy Hour Club. David is a Paul Harris Fellow and Bequest Society member.
