JULIET ALTENBURG RN, MSN
District 7390 Governor 2022-23
Juliet was born and raised in Palmerton PA and currently resides in New Cumberland PA with her husband Rob. Juliet’s passion for Rotary is fueled by her membership in the Rotary Club of Mechanicsburg-North (RCMN) since 2013. From 2014 -2021 she was a member of the RCMN Board of Directors and served as the Club President in 2019/2020. Juliet founded the District 7390 Safety Committee in 2019 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to educate Rotarians on the latest COVID-19 guidance to keep themselves and the public safe. She also volunteers with the South-Central PA Medical Reserve Corps administering vaccines in Cumberland County. She champions efforts of the Rotary Foundation and is a Major Donor, a Paul Harris Society Member, and a Polio Plus Society Member
Professionally Juliet’s passion is nursing and trauma care. She is Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation (PTSF) which is the accrediting body for trauma centers in Pennsylvania. Through her work at PTSF she serves on multiple boards including the Pa Division of the American Trauma Society, the Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Council, and the PA Healthcare Coalition for Emergency Preparedness. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree and Master of Science in Nursing Degree from DeSales University in Center Valley, PA.
Her vision for her work in Rotary includes building partnership between hospitals and Rotary Clubs to focus on disease eradication and prevention. She is excited to be District Governor in 2022-2023 for District 7390 as Rotary International welcomes its first female President Jennifer Jones.
